Island in South Dalmatia

# Lastovo island by boat

Lastovo is the island south of Korčula, and with its islets it is a nature park. Every boat in the park pays the park's ticket, and you may moor or anchor only at the marked moorings and anchorages. Our routes spend the night in Zaklopatica, on the north coast.

19 NM from Vela Luka to Zaklopatica, about 3 h (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026)

22 NM from Korčula town to Zaklopatica, about 3½ h (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026)

€36 a day in the park, 11 to 17.99 m boat, June to Sep, online (Official source, 30 Sep 2026)

## Where to spend the night on Lastovo

5 places to stay the night, in the bays of the north, west and south coasts. Prices are per night for a 12 m boat in 2026, and the park ticket comes on top. Shelter lines name the local winds: the jugo blows from the southeast and the bura from the northeast. [What each wind does. Our cautious answer: weather descriptions, not a forecast: read DHMZ's forecast for sailors before you go. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet.](https://olasail.com/places/lastovo/#wind)

### Zaklopatica

A small bay on the north coast, west of Lastovo town, with the park's buoys under the islet in its mouth. Night 4 of our route to Dubrovnik, 19 NM from Vela Luka. (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026) The county port of Zaklopatica has 250 m of quay, 100 m of it for visiting boats, and a few restaurants have their own moorings in front of them. (Official source, 30 Sep 2026)

The bura and north-westerlies raise a chop in Zaklopatica bay. The shelter from the bura is under the islet, on the inner side of the bay, the online pilot says. Our cautious answer: if a bura is forecast, move under the islet or go elsewhere. In a north-westerly, don't count on a quiet night in the bay. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet. (Third-party source, 30 Sep 2026)

€40 a night on a park buoy, 12 m boat (Official source, 30 Sep 2026)

The quay, the restaurants and the way in

In the county ports on Lastovo a boat up to 20 m pays €5 a metre a day from 1 May to 1 October, so €60 for a 12 m boat, and €2.50 a metre in the other months. (Official source, 30 Sep 2026) A restaurant berth for the night: unknown.[Tell us about a restaurant berth for the night at Zaklopatica](https://olasail.com/about/corrections/#fact=zaklopatica.price) The islet of Zaklopatica almost closes the mouth of the bay: the passage west of it is 1 m deep and the one east of it 7 m, and rocks lie off the bay's east and south-east shores, the online pilot says. Our cautious answer: enter east of the islet, and keep off the east and south-east shores. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet. (Third-party source, 30 Sep 2026)

### Ubli

On the big bay of Vejo Lago, on the west side of the island. Ubli is Lastovo's only ferry port. Visiting boats berth on 40 m of the east quay, between the ferry's quay and the fuel station. (Official source, 30 Sep 2026) A fuel station stands on the quay in Ubli, with 38 m of quay in the south of the harbour for boats taking fuel. (Official source, 30 Sep 2026)

Winds from the south round through the west to the north raise waves in Ubli harbour, the online pilot says. Our cautious answer: don't count on a quiet night in Ubli when a wind from the south, the west or the north is forecast. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet. (Third-party source, 30 Sep 2026)

€60 a day on the quay, 12 m boat, 1 May to 1 Oct (Official source, 30 Sep 2026)

At the fuel pump

Beside the fuel pump at the head of the harbour, the harbour's right-hand corner is only 1 m deep, the online pilot says. Our cautious answer: take care coming alongside the fuel pump, and keep out of that corner. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet. (Third-party source, 30 Sep 2026)

Photo: “Pasadur, Croatia - panoramio” by [Aleksandar Topuzović](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Pasadur,_Croatia_-_panoramio.jpg), [CC BY 3.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0), cropped and resized

### Pasadur

A hamlet where a bridge joins Lastovo to the island of Prežba, at the inner end of Vejo Lago. Hotel Solitudo's marina in Pasadur has moorings for about 30 yachts, with water and power. The nearest fuel is in Ubli, about 1 NM away. (From the operator, 30 Sep 2026)

At Ubli, on Velji Lago, the port's wave study finds no waves from a bura, a jugo or a lebić, but waves from the south-west, west and north-west through the mouth; the online pilot says the bura and jugo blow across the middle of the bay, and the county plan calls it sheltered from all winds. A storm jugo causes a surge: in the storm of 4 Feb 2026 boats in Ubli had to be rescued, and a catamaran left for the lee towards Pasadur. Our cautious answer: expect the bura and jugo to blow hard across the bay, a surge in a storm jugo, and waves through the mouth in a south-westerly, westerly or north-westerly. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet. (Third-party source, 5 Oct 2026)

Unknown a night, 12 m boat [Tell us about a night in the marina at Pasadur](https://olasail.com/about/corrections/#fact=pasadur.price)

The bridge and the county quay

The bridge at Pasadur almost closes the passage between Lastovo and Prežba: it is 2.5 m above the water, the passage is narrow and 1.4 m deep, and only low boats pass, by its east side. The current in it runs at up to 4 knots, the online pilot says. Our cautious answer: don't try the passage under the bridge in a yacht: come to Pasadur by Vejo Lago. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet. (Third-party source, 30 Sep 2026) The county port of Pasadur is small: 18 m of its 23 m quay is for visiting boats. (Official source, 30 Sep 2026) The 25 m quay by the bridge, in front of the hotel, is 1.5 to 2 m deep, and a cable is laid between the shore and the islet Makarac, the online pilot says. Our cautious answer: check the depth against your draught before you come alongside, and keep clear of the cable. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet. (Third-party source, 30 Sep 2026)

### Vejo Lago buoys

The park's buoys in Vejo Lago, the big bay between Lastovo and Prežba, north of the islet Makarac and a short way from Pasadur.

Westerly winds blow in through the mouth of Vejo Lago, and the bura and the jugo across the middle of the bay, the online pilot says. Our cautious answer: don't count on a quiet night on the Vejo Lago buoys when a bura, a jugo or a westerly is forecast. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet. (Third-party source, 30 Sep 2026)

€40 a night on a park buoy, 12 m boat (Official source, 30 Sep 2026)

The way in and taking a park buoy

Coming into Vejo Lago, mind the rocky shoals north of cape Cuf, the online pilot says. Our cautious answer: find the shoals north of cape Cuf on your chart before you come in, and keep well clear of them. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet. (Third-party source, 30 Sep 2026) Take a park buoy with the help of the park's staff, or the park takes no responsibility for the mooring. The park also cites the national rule that a boat on an anchorage keeps its crew on board. (Official source, 30 Sep 2026)

### Skrivena Luka

A bay on the south coast below the Struga lighthouse, with the park's buoys in the middle and Porto Rosso's pontoon. Porto Rosso's pontoon in Skrivena Luka has about 30 berths for boats up to 60 m, in 10 m of water, each with water and power. (From the operator, 30 Sep 2026)

Skrivena Luka is sheltered from every wind, the online pilot says. Our cautious answer: leave the park's buoys when gusts over 20 m/s are forecast, as the park requires. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet. (Third-party source, 30 Sep 2026)

€40 a night on a park buoy, 12 m boat (Official source, 30 Sep 2026)

The pontoon and the way in

A night on Porto Rosso's pontoon costs €58 for a 12 m boat in July and August 2026, and €43 in May, June and September, with power, 300 litres of water, toilets and showers included. (From the operator, 30 Sep 2026) The entrance is about 150 m wide, marked by a lighthouse with a red light on cape Stražica. Near the shores, lobster keep-cages lie barely above the surface, the online pilot says. Our cautious answer: keep to the middle of the bay and watch for the cages near the shores. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet. (Third-party source, 30 Sep 2026)

## Lastovo Islands Nature Park: the ticket, the buoys and anchoring

The Lastovo Islands Nature Park takes in 44 islands, islets, rocks and reefs, the largest Lastovo and Sušac, with 53 km² of land and 143 km² of sea. (Official source, 30 Sep 2026) Its rules and fees apply wherever you stop on Lastovo.

- Where to anchor: In the nature park a boat may moor or anchor only at the marked moorings and anchorages. Anchoring anywhere else is forbidden. (Official source, 30 Sep 2026)
- The park ticket: Every boat in the nature park needs the park's ticket: for a boat of 11 to 17.99 m, €36 a day bought online or €45 bought in the park, from June to September. (Official source, 30 Sep 2026) €72 for 3 days online, €90 in the park. From January to May and October to December, €19 a day online and €23 in the park. For 7 to 10.99 m, €28 a day online in summer. A ticket bought on the day runs to noon the next day, and the buoy fee is not included.
- The buoys: The park has laid buoys in four places: Skrivena Luka (15), under the islet in Zaklopatica (15), north of the islet Makarac in Vejo Lago (15) and Saplun bay on the islet Mladine (12). Each buoy takes one boat up to 20 m, and two each in Skrivena Luka and Vejo Lago take boats up to 30 m. (Official source, 30 Sep 2026)
- A night on a buoy: A night on one of the park's buoys costs €40 for a boat of 10.01 to 20 m, so €40 for a 12 m boat, paid to the park rangers on top of the park ticket. (Official source, 30 Sep 2026) Take a park buoy with the help of the park's staff, or the park takes no responsibility for the mooring. The park also cites the national rule that a boat on an anchorage keeps its crew on board. (Official source, 30 Sep 2026)
- In strong wind: Boats must leave the park's buoys when gusts over 20 m/s, about 39 knots, are forecast. (Official source, 30 Sep 2026)

## Swim stops on Lastovo by boat

Boats may moor or anchor in the park only at marked moorings and anchorages, so away from the harbours a swim stop means one of the park's buoy fields. Three of them are in the bays where you spend the night; Saplun bay, on the Lastovnjaci islets east of Lastovo, is the fourth.

Saplun bay

### Saplun bay

A bay on the north side of the islet Mladine, in the Lastovnjaci group, with the park's buoys

- How to stop: On one of the park's buoys: €40 a night on a park buoy, 12 m boat. (Official source, 30 Sep 2026)
- On the way: About 1 NM north-east of Saplun bay, at 42°47.6′N 017°00.2′E, lies the Buškanje shoal, marked by north and south cardinal lights. Its isolated-danger light may be gone: a temporary notice still in force strikes it from the charts. (Official source, 30 Sep 2026) HHI's temporary chart notice 5(T)-3/19, still in force on 1 Jan 2026, strikes the isolated-danger light mark and topmark at that position from the charts. The distance is ours, from HHI's position and our pin for the bay. South-east of the islet Petrovac a dangerous reef 1.7 m deep is marked by an isolated-danger mark, and south-west of the islet the Turkovica shoal, 3 m deep, by a starboard-hand light. (Official source, 30 Sep 2026)
- Rules it out: Our measure from the chart: Saplun is open to the north-east, west and north-west, with more than 10 NM of open water, and partly to the north. The park asks boats to leave its buoys when winds over 20 m/s are forecast. (Measured by us, 5 Oct 2026)
