## Where to spend the night on Šolta

6 places to stay the night, on the west end and the north and south coasts. Prices are per night for a 12 m boat in July 2026. The bura blows from the northeast, straight onto the north coast. [What each wind does. Our cautious answer: weather descriptions, not a forecast: read DHMZ's forecast for sailors before you go. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet.](https://olasail.com/places/solta/#wind)

### [Maslinica](https://olasail.com/moorings/maslinica-marina/)

A small marina below a baroque castle on the west end, 14 NM from Split. Night 1 of our route. (Measured by us, 26 Sep 2026) Marina Martinis Marchi has 50 berths. (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026)

Maslinica is sheltered from all winds, but north-westerlies and westerlies raise a chop. Our cautious answer: in a strong westerly or maestral expect movement on the outer berths, and don't take the shallow passages between the islets in a jugo. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet. (Third-party source, 26 Sep 2026)

€135 a day in July 2026, 12 m boat, plus €10 water and power (From the operator, 5 Oct 2026)

The price list and the castle

€135 a day for a 12 m boat in July and August 2026, plus €10 for water and power. VAT is included and the tourist tax is extra. A catamaran pays 80% more from April to October. €125 in June and September. The same company runs the marina, and a hotel in the baroque Martinis Marchi castle on the waterfront. The hotel and its restaurant open in season only. (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026)

### Šešula

A narrow bay of buoys and restaurant jetties, 1 NM south of Maslinica by sea. (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026)

The restaurant jetties

Each restaurant berth we list shows the terms the restaurant publishes on its own website or page, with the date we read them. [Where to eat in Šešula](https://olasail.com/places/solta/#eat)

Šešula is good shelter from every wind except westerlies, above all in a thunderstorm, but it depends on the arm (Third-party source, 28 Sep 2026). Only the far south-east arm is sheltered from the jugo (Third-party source, 26 Sep 2026). The north-east arm must be left when a northerly strengthens. (Third-party source, 28 Sep 2026) Our cautious answer: choose the arm by the forecast, and check your anchor in a westerly or a thunderstorm. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet.

### Rogač

The ferry port on the north coast, 9 NM from Split, with berths on the quay beside the ferry. (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026) Jadrolinija's ferry line 636 links Split and Rogač in about an hour, handy for crew who join or leave mid-week. (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026)

Rogač is sheltered from every wind except northerlies, which blow hard and raise waves in the bay. Our cautious answer: leave the quay if a bura or tramontana is forecast. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet. (Third-party source, 26 Sep 2026)

€48 a day on the quay, 12 m boat (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)

Paying, and the port

You pay the port authority's attendant in the port, in cash or by card, and get an invoice. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026) The port authority lists 262 m of quay in Rogač, a fuel pump for boats, a shop and repairs in the harbour. Its staff answer on +385 91 110 0271. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)

### [Nečujam](https://olasail.com/moorings/necujam-buoys/)

The largest bay on the north coast, with coves, a small quay and buoys, 9 NM from Split. (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026) In 2018 the county decided to grant a 10-year concession for an anchorage for 48 boats in the Piškera and Maslinica coves. Its 2021 study lists no concession there, so it is not confirmed that buoys are laid. (Official source, 30 Sep 2026) Restaurants, a club and a shop in Nečujam. For a doctor, the post office or a bank, go to Grohote, and for repairs to Maslinica or Rogač. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)

Nečujam is well sheltered from every wind except the bura and other northerlies. Our cautious answer: leave Nečujam if a bura is forecast, and mind the submerged wall in Piškera cove. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet. (Third-party source, 26 Sep 2026)

€36 a day on the quay, 12 m boat (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)

On a buoy or at anchor

On a buoy in its anchorage you pay 30% less, about €25 for a 12 m boat, and at anchor half, €18. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026) You pay the port authority's attendant in the port, in cash or by card, and get an invoice. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)

### Stomorska

A village quay in a long inlet on the northeast coast, 9.5 NM from Split and (Measured by us, 26 Sep 2026) 5.5 NM from Milna across the Split Gate. The port authority lists 585 m of quay in Stomorska, shops, a post office and a cash machine, and a catamaran to Split. Its staff answer on +385 91 882 7076. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)

Stomorska's north-west part is open to the bura and easterlies, and sheltered from every other wind, the pilot says (Third-party source, 28 Sep 2026). The south part, behind the breakwater, is safe in any wind. (Third-party source, 26 Sep 2026) Our cautious answer: in a bura, lie in the south part or go elsewhere. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet.

€54 a day on the quay, 12 m boat (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)

### Tatinja

A quiet bay on the south coast, 5 NM from Maslinica. (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026) A buoy field of 16 berths in three parts, under a county concession held by TRAMAK 22 j.d.o.o. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)

Tatinja is sheltered from the maestral, the tramontana and the bura. Sources differ on the south: More magazin calls it wide open to the south, the Šolta Tourist Board sheltered from south-easterlies. Our cautious answer: treat Tatinja as open to the jugo and leave if one is forecast, and mind the 3 m passage inside the rock. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet. (Third-party source, 26 Sep 2026)

€25 a night per boat, for dinner guests (From the operator, 8 Oct 2026)

Booking a buoy

Restaurant Lonely Paradise, in the bay, runs the buoys for its guests under the concession of Tramak 22 j.d.o.o. It asks €25 a night per boat from dinner guests, paid when you book.

- Rules it out: Tatinja is sheltered from the maestral, the tramontana and the bura. Sources differ on the south: More magazin calls it wide open to the south, the Šolta Tourist Board sheltered from south-easterlies. ### Livka bay

A deep cove at the southeast tip of Šolta, facing Brač, from Stomorska: 5 NM (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026)

- Fee: Only a company with a concession for that anchorage, or the port authority inside a public port, may charge you for anchoring. Anywhere else, nobody may [Who may charge you](https://olasail.com/moorings/anchoring-rules-and-fees/#fees)

- Rules it out: Livka is open to the jugo but sheltered from other winds, and by day the wash from the Split Gate can make it rolly. Our cautious answer: leave Livka when a jugo or any southerly is forecast. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet. (Third-party source, 26 Sep 2026)

Senjska bay

### Senjska bay

A pebble cove halfway along the south coast, from Maslinica: 6 NM (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026)
