First week: Short days, never more than 3 NM from land, but day 3 runs along Šolta's exposed south coast: settled summer weather only

# An easy first week from Trogir

An easy first week from Trogir: 62 NM (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026) in short hops between sheltered harbours on Drvenik Veli, Šolta, Brač and in Split, none longer than 14 NM (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026), with no open-sea crossing. Short days, never more than 3 NM from land, but day 3 runs along Šolta's exposed south coast: settled summer weather only.

62 NM in 7 days (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026)

14 NM longest day (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026)

about 10½ h under way at 6 knots

7 nights 4 marinas, 3 town quays

About €1,130 to €2,940 a guest for a crew of 6. What it costs

All 91 facts on this page name their source, the latest checked on 8 Oct 2026: 36 from the operator, 28 from official sources, 16 measured by us and 10 from third-party sources, such as pilot books and magazines, so treat those 10 as a guide. The sources disagree on one: [shelter at the Blue Lagoon](https://olasail.com/places/drvenik-blue-lagoon/).

The week at a glance How far should a first crew sail in a day? Not far. This Saturday to Saturday week from Trogir keeps to short hops, none longer than 14 NM (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026), so you tie up by mid-afternoon and have time to practise in the harbour. You stay close to Trogir, Šolta and Brač and never cross to Vis; only day 3, along Šolta's open south coast, wants settled weather. A skipper reviewer sailed it and checked it. Every day has a Plan B for the wind.

## Day by day

Your average speed

A charter catamaran averages about 6 knots, sailing and motoring, so we start there. The daily times below are worked out along our planned line.

### Day 1, Saturday: Trogir to Drvenik Veli, 7 NM

Photo: “Isola di Drvenik Veli04” by [b.roveran](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Isola_di_Drvenik_Veli04.jpg), [CC BY 2.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0), resized

Boarding day. Sunsail gives 6 pm as its usual boarding time at Marina Agana, its base near Trogir, and sells a 3 pm start as an extra (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026). Go on only if you have the boat by 3 pm, so you tie up in daylight.

In Trogir, the morning is for shopping: the town has a green market, a fish market and shops of every kind. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026) Between errands, walk through [the old town](https://olasail.com/places/trogir/#old-town), a UNESCO World Heritage site on its own small island, to the cathedral of St Lawrence and its carved portal. If you have the boat by 3 pm, sail out to Drvenik Veli, 7 NM away, so you tie up in daylight.

- Under way: about 1 h, at 6 knots
- Tonight: [Drvenik Veli](https://olasail.com/places/drvenik-blue-lagoon/#alt-drvenikveli), one place to stay
- Other choices: 1 other night, 1 stop on the way

#### Where to sleep in Drvenik Veli

Fee The same fee all year. A catamaran pays twice the rate per metre (Official source, 26 Sep 2026).

- Photo: “Isola di Drvenik Veli04” by [b.roveran](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Isola_di_Drvenik_Veli04.jpg), [CC BY 2.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0), resized Our plan [Drvenik Veli quay](https://olasail.com/places/drvenik-blue-lagoon/#alt-drvenikveli): €36 a night on the quay, 12 m boat (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)

Facilities: The port authority lists nothing for visiting boats here: it says repairs and any other boat needs can only be met on the mainland. The village has a shop and a post office (Official source, 5 Oct 2026)

Booking: First come: pay the attendant when you arrive, and come early in summer. [How it works](https://olasail.com/moorings/booking-a-berth/#arrive)

#### If the plan changes

Board late? Sleep in Trogir, then go to Maslinica on Sunday by the Blue Lagoon, 10 NM (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026).

One other night: staying in Trogir

Plan B Stay in [Trogir](https://olasail.com/places/trogir/), no sailing

Board late? Sleep at your base, then go to Maslinica on Sunday by the Blue Lagoon.

One place to stay: Your charter base in Trogir

  - [Your charter base in Trogir](https://olasail.com/places/trogir/), marina: Included in the charter (From the operator, 7 Oct 2026)

Facilities: Dream Yacht Charter asks you to spend the last night in the marina (From the operator, 7 Oct 2026)

#### Stops on the way

A stop you could add: The Blue Lagoon

- Photo: “Veli Krknjaš - panoramio” by [bruno.kostovic](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Veli_Krknja%C5%A1_-_panoramio.jpg), [CC BY 3.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0), resized

[The Blue Lagoon, Drvenik Veli](https://olasail.com/places/drvenik-blue-lagoon/), a 5 NM detour, about 1 h more

Krknjaš bay, a shallow lagoon between Drvenik Veli and the Krknjaš islets.

An underwater cable runs from the bay to Šipkova bay on Šolta, marked by a no-anchoring sign (Official source, 26 Sep 2026).

  How to stop here

Anchor (Official source, 26 Sep 2026). Shelter: Sources differ. Our cautious answer: Leave if a bura, a jugo or any southerly is forecast (Sources disagree, 6 Oct 2026).

### Day 2, Sunday: Drvenik Veli to Maslinica, 8 NM

Photo: “Maslinica, marina s tvrzí 01” by [Draceane](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Maslinica,_marina_s_tvrz%C3%AD_01.jpg), [CC BY-SA 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0), resized

Round the north of Drvenik Veli to [the Blue Lagoon](https://olasail.com/places/drvenik-blue-lagoon/), the shallow bay behind the Krknjaš islets, for a morning swim. Then south to Maslinica, on the west tip of Šolta.

In Drvenik Veli, leave early for [the Blue Lagoon](https://olasail.com/places/drvenik-blue-lagoon/): tour boats over 20 m often anchor there in season, and a day trip from Split arrives in the late morning. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026) At Maslinica, call the marina on VHF 17 before you come in. In the evening, walk to the baroque Martinis Marchi castle on the waterfront, whose hotel restaurant opens in season. (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026)

- Under way: about 1½ h, at 6 knots
- Tonight: [Maslinica](https://olasail.com/moorings/maslinica-marina/), 2 places to stay
- Other choices: 1 other night, 1 stop on the way

#### Where to sleep in Maslinica

- Photo: “Maslinica, marina s tvrzí 01” by [Draceane](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Maslinica,_marina_s_tvrz%C3%AD_01.jpg), [CC BY-SA 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0), resized Our plan [Marina Martinis Marchi](https://olasail.com/moorings/maslinica-marina/): €145 a night: €135 a day in July 2026, 12 m boat, plus €10 water and power (From the operator, 5 Oct 2026)

  Shelter:

Our cautious answer: in a strong westerly or maestral expect movement on the outer berths, and don't take the shallow passages between the islets in a jugo. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet.

  What the source says

Maslinica is sheltered from all winds, but north-westerlies and westerlies raise a chop (Third-party source, 26 Sep 2026)

Facilities: Water and power at the berth, €10 a day for a 12 m boat. The toilets and showers are included in the berth price (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026)

Booking: Ask the marina ahead, through its website, by email or by phone. [How it works](https://olasail.com/moorings/booking-a-berth/#marinas)

One other place to stay in Maslinica: Šešula bay buoys

- Photo: “Šolta Maslinica Hrvatska Uvala Šešula 2019 08a” by [Joadl](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:%C5%A0olta_Maslinica_Hrvatska_Uvala_%C5%A0e%C5%A1ula_2019_08a.jpg), [CC BY-SA 3.0 AT](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/at/deed.en), resized [Šešula bay buoys](https://olasail.com/places/solta/#sesula): Free with dinner (From the operator, 4 Oct 2026)

  Shelter

  Shelter:

Our cautious answer: choose the arm by the forecast, and check your anchor in a westerly or a thunderstorm. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet. Šešula is good shelter from every wind except westerlies, above all in a thunderstorm, but it depends on the arm (Third-party source, 28 Sep 2026). Only the far south-east arm is sheltered from the jugo (Third-party source, 26 Sep 2026). The north-east arm must be left when a northerly strengthens (Third-party source, 28 Sep 2026)

Booking: Book the table and the berth with the restaurant, early in July and August. [How it works](https://olasail.com/moorings/restaurant-moorings/#ask)

#### If the plan changes

Lagoon crowded? Swim in Šešula bay, next to Maslinica, instead.

One other night: Rogač

  [Rogač](https://olasail.com/places/solta/#rogac), 10 NM from Drvenik Veli, about 1½ h

Rogač, the ferry harbour on the north coast of Šolta: a county quay, and a shorter day.

One place to stay: Rogač quay

  - [Rogač quay](https://olasail.com/places/solta/#rogac): €48 a day on the quay, 12 m boat (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)

    Shelter:

Our cautious answer: leave the quay if a bura or tramontana is forecast. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet. Rogač is sheltered from every wind except northerlies, which blow hard and raise waves in the bay (Third-party source, 26 Sep 2026)

Booking: First come: pay the attendant when you arrive, and come early in summer. [How it works](https://olasail.com/moorings/booking-a-berth/#arrive)

#### Stops on the way

Our plan [The Blue Lagoon, Drvenik Veli](https://olasail.com/places/drvenik-blue-lagoon/),

Krknjaš bay, a shallow lagoon between Drvenik Veli and the Krknjaš islets. Anchor (Official source, 26 Sep 2026). An underwater cable runs from the bay to Šipkova bay on Šolta, marked by a no-anchoring sign (Official source, 26 Sep 2026). Shelter: Sources differ. Our cautious answer: Leave if a bura, a jugo or any southerly is forecast (Sources disagree, 6 Oct 2026).

Lagoon No anchoring within 150 m of a natural beach, under the 2025 ordinance (Official source, 25 Sep 2026). One other stop on the way: Šešula bay

- Photo: “Šolta Maslinica Hrvatska Uvala Šešula 2019 08a” by [Joadl](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:%C5%A0olta_Maslinica_Hrvatska_Uvala_%C5%A0e%C5%A1ula_2019_08a.jpg), [CC BY-SA 3.0 AT](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/at/deed.en), resized

  [Šešula bay, Šolta](https://olasail.com/places/solta/#sesula), a 2 NM detour, about ½ h more

A narrow bay next to Maslinica, with buoys and two restaurant jetties.

  How to stop here

Take a buoy (From the operator, 4 Oct 2026). Shelter: Our cautious answer: choose the arm by the forecast, and check your anchor in a westerly or a thunderstorm. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet. Šešula is good shelter from every wind except westerlies, above all in a thunderstorm, but it depends on the arm (Third-party source, 28 Sep 2026)

### Day 3, Monday: Maslinica to Milna, 14 NM

Photo: “Milna, kikötő - panoramio” by [Sztudva Gyöngyi](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Milna,_kik%C3%B6t%C5%91_-_panoramio.jpg), [CC BY-SA 3.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0), resized

The longest day, and still a short one. Follow the south coast of Šolta and its swim bays, then cross the mouth of the Split Gate to Milna.

In Maslinica, leave in the morning to reach [Tatinja](https://olasail.com/places/solta/#tatinja) by midday: the restaurant in the bay runs the buoys for its guests, and in 2024 you booked and paid by email. (From the operator, 8 Oct 2026) Before Milna, call ACI Marina Milna on VHF 17: the marina is at the head of the south-east arm of the bay, across from the town centre. (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026) In the evening, on the Riva next to the marina, Konoba Pizzeria Slika grills Brač lamb, tuna and squid over Brač wood; book online. (From the operator, 4 Oct 2026)

- Under way: about 2½ h, at 6 knots
- Tonight: [Milna](https://olasail.com/places/brac/#milna), 4 places to stay
- Other choices: 1 other night, 3 stops on the way

#### Where to sleep in Milna

Town quay The Milna town quay is a class I.C county port: €4.50 a metre a day for a boat of 10.01 to 15 m, so €54 for a 12 m boat, all year (Official source, 26 Sep 2026).

- Photo: “Milna - ACI marina” by [Silverije](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Milna_-_ACI_marina.jpg), [CC BY-SA 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0), resized Our plan [ACI Marina Milna](https://olasail.com/moorings/aci-marina-milna/): €128 a day in July, 12 m boat, ACI Marina Milna (From the operator, 7 Oct 2026)

  Shelter:

Sheltered from all winds (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026)

Facilities: Water, power, toilets and showers, a shop and a laundry (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026)

Booking: Book online with ACI, even on the day you arrive. [How it works](https://olasail.com/moorings/booking-a-berth/#aci)

3 other places to stay in Milna: Marina Vlaška, Milna town quay and Lučice bay buoys

- [Marina Vlaška](https://olasail.com/places/brac/#milna): €128 a day in July, 12 m boat, Marina Vlaška (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026)
- [Milna town quay](https://olasail.com/places/brac/#milna): €54 a day on the town quay, 12 m boat (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)
- Photo: “Bucht Lucice” by [Bunker](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Bucht_Lucice.JPG), [CC BY-SA 3.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0), resized [Lučice bay buoys](https://olasail.com/places/brac/#lucice): €100 a night on a buoy, for a boat of 14 to 44 ft (From the operator, 5 Oct 2026)

  Shelter

  Shelter:

Our measure from the chart: the bay's mouth is open to the south-west and west, with more than 10 NM of open water, and partly to the south and south-east (Measured by us, 5 Oct 2026)

Booking: Book the table and the berth with the restaurant, early in July and August. [How it works](https://olasail.com/moorings/restaurant-moorings/#ask)

#### If the plan changes

Jugo forecast? Go by the north coast of Šolta and the Split Gate instead, 15 NM (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026).

One other night: Stomorska

- Photo: “Šolta Stomorska Hrvatska Westufer 2012 c” by [Joadl](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:%C5%A0olta_Stomorska_Hrvatska_Westufer_2012_c.jpg), [CC BY-SA 3.0 AT](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/at/deed.en), resized

  [Stomorska](https://olasail.com/places/solta/#stomorska), 10 NM from Maslinica, about 1½ h

Stomorska instead of Brač: a harbour village on the north coast of Šolta.

One place to stay: Stomorska quay

  - [Stomorska quay](https://olasail.com/places/solta/#stomorska): €54 a day on the quay, 12 m boat (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)

    Shelter:

Our cautious answer: in a bura, lie in the south part or go elsewhere. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet. Stomorska's north-west part is open to the bura and easterlies, and sheltered from every other wind, the pilot says (Third-party source, 28 Sep 2026). The south part, behind the breakwater, is safe in any wind (Third-party source, 26 Sep 2026)

Booking: First come: pay the attendant when you arrive, and come early in summer. [How it works](https://olasail.com/moorings/booking-a-berth/#arrive)

  Our plan [Tatinja bay, Šolta](https://olasail.com/places/solta/#tatinja),

A buoy field in a bay on the south coast of Šolta. Take a buoy (Official source, 26 Sep 2026). Shelter: Our cautious answer: treat Tatinja as open to the jugo and leave if one is forecast, and mind the 3 m passage inside the rock. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet. Tatinja is sheltered from the maestral, the tramontana and the bura. Sources differ on the south: More magazin calls it wide open to the south, the Šolta Tourist Board sheltered from south-easterlies (Third-party source, 26 Sep 2026)

3 other stops on the way: Šešula bay, Nečujam bay and Lučice bay

A deep bay on the north coast of Šolta, where boats anchor in its coves.

  How to stop here

Anchor (Official source, 26 Sep 2026). Shelter: Our cautious answer: leave Nečujam if a bura is forecast, and mind the submerged wall in Piškera cove. Our skipper reviewer hasn't checked this yet. Nečujam is well sheltered from every wind except the bura and other northerlies (Third-party source, 26 Sep 2026)

The short day, and your spare one, so take a slow morning in Milna and an afternoon swim.

In Milna, shop before you leave: the marina has a grocery store, a cash machine and a wine shop. (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026) In Bobovišća, there are no shops, offices or cash machines. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)

### Booking the boat, skipper and berths

Chartering for this route? Agree with the charter company what it arranges, such as a skipper. Most nights are booked during the week, once you know the weather. [What to agree before you pay](https://olasail.com/charter/booking/#arrangements)

## What an easy first week from Trogir costs

A week on this route, 7 nights and 62 NM from Trogir, costs about €1,130 to €2,940 a guest for a crew of 6: about €1,130 at anchor and cooking aboard, €1,440 on the nights we plan with dinner ashore, and €2,940 in the dearest berths on a catamaran with a skipper. With no licence aboard, a skipper on the Middle style's monohull adds about €380 a guest. The boat is the middle of three Split-area companies’ late-July 2026 list prices, before early-booking discounts of up to 15%; berths are 2026 prices.

### How we price and measure

Reference prices before tourist tax, not a quote for your boat. Distances are measured along our planned line with our route tool and rounded. Every distance for a changed day runs along our lines, through the stops you pick (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026). Hours are at the average speed above. Not for navigation.

Our plan is 62 NM. With no swim stops, the week is 37 NM to 73 NM, depending on where you spend each night. (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026)
