## The stops, day by day

In the order of [Seven days from Split](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/). Each day takes none, one or two of them. The extra distance is what a stop adds to that day's line, measured with our route tool.

### The week at a glance

- Day 1, Saturday: Split to Maslinica, Šolta: The [Blue Lagoon](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/swim-stops/#bluelagoon) at Drvenik Veli, if you have the boat early. [Day 1 on the route](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/#day-1)
- Day 2, Sunday: Maslinica to Vis town: [Stončica bay](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/swim-stops/#stoncica), round the corner from Vis town, is a swim at the end of the first open crossing. [Day 2 on the route](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/#day-2)
- Day 3, Monday: Vis town to Komiža: [Budikovac](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/swim-stops/#budikovac), [the Green Cave](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/swim-stops/#ravnik), [Srebrna](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/swim-stops/#srebrna) or [Stiniva](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/swim-stops/#stiniva), each a short detour off the line round the south coast. Pick one or two, and go in the morning, before the day tours. [Day 3 on the route](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/#day-3)
- Day 4, Tuesday: Komiža to Pakleni Islands: [The Blue Cave](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/swim-stops/#bluecave) is on the way. [Stipanska](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/swim-stops/#stipanska) is an afternoon swim before the night. [Day 4 on the route](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/#day-4)
- Day 5, Wednesday: Pakleni Islands to Stari Grad: No stop on our list fits this leg. Stipanska adds +7 NM as a morning swim (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026), so swim at the Pakleni Islands before you leave. [Day 5 on the route](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/#day-5)
- Day 6, Thursday: Stari Grad to Milna, Brač: [Lučice](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/swim-stops/#lucice) and [Blaca](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/swim-stops/#blaca) fit the day. [Zlatni Rat](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/swim-stops/#zlatnirat) is a long detour, or a reason to spend a night in [Bol](https://olasail.com/places/brac/#bol). [Day 6 on the route](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/#day-6)
- Day 7, Friday: Milna to Split: [Bobovišća](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/swim-stops/#bobovisca), just north of Milna, before fuel and check-in. [Day 7 on the route](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/#day-7)

1

### [The Blue Lagoon, Drvenik Veli](https://olasail.com/places/drvenik-blue-lagoon/)

Day 1, Split to Maslinica, Šolta

Shallow, clear water in Krknjaš bay, between Drvenik Veli and the Krknjaš islets, near [Trogir](https://olasail.com/places/trogir/). Also day 2 of our [easy first week from Trogir](https://olasail.com/routes/first-week-short-hops/#day-2).

- Extra: The Blue Lagoon adds about 2 NM to day 1, Split to Maslinica. (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026)
- How to stop: Come in from the south-east and anchor on sand, clear of the seagrass and the marked cable. Drvenik Veli is joined to the Krknjaš islets by an underwater reef, so there is no way through to the north. The passage between Drvenik Veli and Krknjaš Veli is not navigable, and the gap between the two islets is shallow over rock. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026) An underwater cable runs from the bay to Šipkova bay on Šolta, marked by a no-anchoring sign. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)
- Fee: We found no fee for 2026. In 2020 the county listed an anchorage at Krknjaši among the concessions it planned to grant. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026) Only a concession holder may charge for anchoring. [The rules](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/swim-stops/#rules)
- Busy: The bay is a favourite anchorage and swimming spot, and tour boats over 20 m anchor there often in season. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026) Nini Tours' morning trip leaves Split at 9:30 am, cruises past Trogir, spends 1 hour 30 minutes swimming at the Blue Lagoon and returns by 2 pm. (From the operator, 30 Sep 2026)
- Rules it out: Leave if a bura, a jugo or any southerly is forecast. The county's 2019 study calls Krknjaši open to the bura, which can make the sea rough, while its 2024 anchorage plan calls it suitable in a bura and westerly winds; both say southerly and south-easterly winds raise waves. The tidal current runs at up to 0.3 knots, and up to 1.2 knots in a storm bura or jugo. (Sources disagree, 6 Oct 2026)

2

### [Stončica bay, Vis](https://olasail.com/places/stoncica/)

Day 2, Maslinica to Vis town

A long sandy bay with buoys and a beach restaurant on the north-east coast of Vis.

- Extra: Stončica adds about 3 NM to day 2, Maslinica to Vis town. (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026)
- How to stop: On the buoys that Gradina Vis d.o.o. runs, in 5 to 6 m in the south of the bay, on sand. (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026) [Picking up a mooring buoy](https://olasail.com/moorings/med-mooring/#buoy)
- Fee: In 2023 a buoy cost €42 a night for a boat of 10.01 to 15 m (€30 up to 10 m, €65 for 15.01 to 20 m), in cash only, paid when you start using the buoy. A night runs to noon the next day, and a day stay until 5 pm costs half. (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026) [The full record](https://olasail.com/places/stoncica/)
- Rules it out: Open to the bura. The bay is well sheltered from every other wind, the operator says. (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026)

3

### [Budikovac lagoon](https://olasail.com/places/budikovac-green-cave/)

Day 3, Vis town to Komiža

A shallow lagoon between two islets off the south-east of Vis, called the Blue Lagoon (Plava laguna).

- Extra: Budikovac adds less than 0.5 NM to day 3, Vis town to Komiža round the south coast. (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026)
- How to stop: A field of numbered buoys off the Budikovac islets, run by Gradina Vis d.o.o. under a concession, for boats up to 12 m. (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026) Come into the lagoon only from the south, between Mali Budikovac and Veli Budikovac, and keep closer to Mali Budikovac: shallow rocks run out from Veli Budikovac. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)
- Fee: €60 a day on a buoy in 2026, VAT included, paid in cash when you arrive. (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026)
- Busy: One Split tour agency's published day plan: the Blue Cave at 9:45 am, Stiniva at 11 am, the Green Cave at 11:40 am, Budikovac at 12:30 pm, then the Pakleni Islands and Hvar from 1:30 pm. (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026)
- Rules it out: Budikovac is open to southerly, south-easterly and south-westerly winds, which bring bigger waves, and a storm jugo sends a surge in; the 2024 plan expects a rougher sea in a bura. The 2019 study calls it sheltered from the maestral. (Official source, 5 Oct 2026)

4

### [The Green Cave, Ravnik](https://olasail.com/places/budikovac-green-cave/#green-cave)

Day 3, Vis town to Komiža

A sea cave on the islet of Ravnik, lit through a hole in its roof. You row your own dinghy in.

- Extra: The Green Cave adds less than 0.5 NM to day 3, Vis town to Komiža round the south coast. (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026)
- How to stop: You may go in on your own small boat without using the engine, and swim inside. You may stay 10 minutes. (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026) Gradina Vis d.o.o. also has buoys off Ravnik, at €40 a day in 2026, paid in cash. (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026)
- Fee: €15 an adult and €7 a child of 6 to 12 from 15 Jun to 15 Sep 2026, and €10 and €5 out of season. A ticket lets you stay and swim for up to 10 minutes. (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026)
- Busy: The same day tours, at the cave before Budikovac. [Their times](https://olasail.com/places/budikovac-green-cave/#busy)
- Rules it out: Open 9 am to 5 pm, every day that the weather allows. (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026) Like other caves on the south sides of the outer islands, it was cut by the waves of the open sea. Inside, the water is 3 to 5 m deep. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)

5

### [Srebrna bay, Vis](https://olasail.com/places/vis/#srebrna)

Day 3, Vis town to Komiža

A pebble bay on the south coast of Vis, just west of Rukavac.

- Extra: Srebrna adds about 1 NM to day 3, Vis town to Komiža round the south coast. (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026)
- How to stop: The bottom is flat rock slabs, so an anchor can slide, and once it catches you may have to dive to free it. In 2019 the bay had a few buoys and a small floating pontoon. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)
- Fee: The county's concession map shows no anchorage concession in Srebrna bay. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026) Only a concession holder may charge for anchoring. [The rules](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/swim-stops/#rules)
- Busy: A pebble beach and wide rock slabs that slope into the sea, and a favourite bathing spot for locals and visitors. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)
- Rules it out: Well sheltered from every wind, but a strong jugo sends a swell in. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)

6

### [Stiniva cove, Vis](https://olasail.com/places/stiniva/)

Day 3, Vis town to Komiža

A pebble beach behind a narrow gap in the cliffs on the south coast of Vis.

- Extra: Day 3 of our week from Split passes about 0.6 NM off the mouth, so a stop at Stiniva adds about 1 NM. (Measured by us, 26 Sep 2026)
- How to stop: In summer a line of floats is laid across the cove. It protects the swimmers and keeps small boats out of the cove. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026) No anchoring within 150 m of a natural beach, under the 2025 ordinance. (Official source, 25 Sep 2026)
- Fee: No concession for the proposed buoy field had been granted by 26 Sep 2026: the county's concession map shows no concession of any kind within 4.7 km of the cove. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026) [The rules](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/swim-stops/#rules)
- Busy: In summer many small boats and yachts anchor or tie up right at the mouth of the cove. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026) Day tours from Split stop here late in the morning. [Their times](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/swim-stops/#budikovac)
- Rules it out: Anchoring in the cove isn't recommended. It is deep, and southerly winds send a strong surge into it. The cliffs block some of the bura, but it comes in strong gusts that can drag an anchor. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)

7

### [The Blue Cave, Biševo](https://olasail.com/places/bisevo-blue-cave/)

Day 4, Komiža to Pakleni Islands

A sea cave on Biševo, off [Komiža](https://olasail.com/places/komiza/), lit blue from under the water. You go in on a licensed cave boat.

- Extra: Our day 4 line from Komiža to the Pakleni Islands goes by the Blue Cave, so it adds nothing. (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026)
- How to stop: Mezuporat, the bay where you leave your boat for the cave, has a buoy field of about 4,500 m² with eco moorings. Yachts may also tie up on the quay of the boat line from Komiža when the boat is not there. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026) Visits are only with the concession holder's boats, from Mezuporat, with a ticket. No boat of any kind may move, anchor or tie up in the Blue Cave or the Bear Cave, and you may not swim or dive in the Blue Cave (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026)
- Fee: €24 an adult and €12 a child aged 6 to 12 from 20 Jun to 10 Sep, and €18 and €9 from 1 Apr to 19 Jun and 11 Sep to 31 Oct. Under 6 free. Cash, card or bank transfer; the ticket includes the visitor centre's exhibition. (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026) Nautički centar Komiža d.o.o. posts the queue and the sea conditions for visits online. (From the operator, 5 Oct 2026)
- Busy: Boat traffic in Mezuporat is heavy from June to the end of September, mostly taxi boats bringing people to the Blue Cave. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026) The day tours from Split reach the cave first. [Their times](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/swim-stops/#budikovac)
- Rules it out: Mezuporat is open to the tramontana and the bura, which can make the sea rough, and a jugo sends a surge in. Watch for the reef about 140 m north of the light on Rt Kobila, and the rock Totac off the bay's south point. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026) Visits run only when the sea and weather allow. (Third-party source, 26 Sep 2026)

8

### [Stipanska bay, Marinkovac](https://olasail.com/places/pakleni-islands/#stipanska)

Day 4, Komiža to Pakleni Islands

A bay on the south-east of Marinkovac in the Pakleni Islands, with a beach venue ashore.

- Extra: Stipanska adds about 2.5 NM to day 4, the Blue Cave to the Pakleni Islands. (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026)
- How to stop: You can anchor in 4 to 5 m. A large beach venue on the shore has jetties on both sides and a taxi boat for its guests. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)
- Fee: The county's concession map shows no anchorage concession in Stipanska bay. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026) [The rules](https://olasail.com/routes/split-seven-days/swim-stops/#rules)
- Busy: Busy in the summer months, with heavy pressure from anchoring. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)
- Rules it out: Open to every wind and sea. Southerly and westerly winds are the most dangerous and can raise a heavy sea. The bura blows very hard but raises no high waves. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)

9

### [Lučice bay, Brač](https://olasail.com/places/brac/#swim-lucice)

Day 6, Stari Grad to Milna, Brač

A bay with two arms on the south-west coast of Brač, with buoys and two restaurants.

- Extra: Lučice adds less than 0.5 NM to day 6, Stari Grad to Milna. (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026)
- How to stop: A good anchorage for small boats, 8 to 15 m deep on the north side. Two restaurants have jetties, and in 2019 three businesses held buoy concessions in the bay's two arms. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)
- Fee: The buoys have their own price whether or not you eat: €100 a night for a boat of 14 to 44 ft, from 16:00 to 05:00, VAT included. Dinner guests keep the buoy until 10:00. Book dinner by 17:00. (From the operator, 5 Oct 2026)
- Rules it out: The bay has two arms, and one of them always gives good shelter from the wind. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026) Our measure from the chart: the bay's mouth is open to the south-west and west, with more than 10 NM of open water, and partly to the south and south-east. (Measured by us, 5 Oct 2026)

10

### [Blaca bay, Brač](https://olasail.com/places/brac/#swim-blaca)

Day 6, Stari Grad to Milna, Brač

A long bay under the cliffs of south Brač, where a path climbs to the Blaca hermitage.

- Extra: Blaca bay adds about 1.5 NM to day 6, Stari Grad to Milna. (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026)
- How to stop: A very good anchorage on sand. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026) From Blaca bay a path climbs the valley to the hermitage, about 30 minutes on foot. (From the operator, 26 Sep 2026)
- Fee: The hermitage: open 9 am to 5 pm from 16 Jun to 15 Sep, and 9 am to 3 pm the rest of the year. Closed on Mondays. Adults pay €8. (From the operator, 5 Oct 2026)
- Busy: Pleasure boats and excursion boats come for the path to the hermitage. The excursion boats land at the old quay on the west side. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)
- Rules it out: Leave if any wind from the east round to the south-west is forecast. The county's texts disagree: the 2019 study calls Blaca safe from the north round to the east and open to the south and south-west; the 2024 plan calls it open to the south-east and south and sheltered from the south-west by Blacina glava. Either way the jugo and southerlies make the sea rough, and the maestral bouncing off the steep shores makes a chop. (Sources disagree, 6 Oct 2026)

11

### [Zlatni Rat, Bol](https://olasail.com/places/zlatni-rat/)

Day 6, Stari Grad to Milna, Brač

The pebble spit just west of Bol, on the south coast of Brač.

- Extra: Zlatni Rat adds about 9.5 NM to day 6, Stari Grad to Milna, so it makes a long day. (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026)
- How to stop: In season 20 to 30 boats a day anchor off the two sides of the spit: on the east side, in Potočine bay, in a maestral, and on the west side, in Paklina bay, in a jugo. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026) On the east side, off the Hotel Bretanida, a pipe and cable run out to sea, with a sign that bans anchoring. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026) The beach is closed off for swimmers by a line of buoys. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026) Under way, keep clear of an organised beach's rope line: at least 50 m in a boat under 15 m, 100 m in a boat of 15 to 30 m, and 300 m at 30 m and over (Article 49). (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)
- Fee: There is no buoy field: the study found only a few concrete blocks laid without a concession, and advised leaving Zlatni Rat out of the county's anchorages. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)
- Busy: A boat line runs from the centre of Bol to a pontoon at the start of the beach in Potočine bay, about every 15 minutes with up to 40 people, and half as often after 4 pm. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)
- Rules it out: Open to the bura, and above all to southerly and south-westerly winds, which raise a rough sea. The spit juts into the narrowest part of the Hvar channel, so north-westerly, westerly and south-westerly winds blow harder round it. In a maestral boats anchor off the east side of the spit, and in a jugo off the west side. (Official source, 28 Sep 2026)

12

### [Bobovišća, Brač](https://olasail.com/places/brac/#bobovisca)

Day 7, Milna to Split

A long green inlet with a village quay on the west coast of Brač, just north of [ACI Marina Milna](https://olasail.com/moorings/aci-marina-milna/).

- Extra: Bobovišća adds about 2 NM to day 7, Milna to Split. (Measured by us, 7 Oct 2026)
- How to stop: Buoys for 16 boats up to 17 m in Bobovišća bay, and 19 up to 12 m in Vića Luka beside it, under a county concession held by KARABIN j.d.o.o. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026) Bigger boats anchor in the outer bay in about 20 m, smaller ones further in. The quay runs along the north side of the south-east arm, about 2.5 m deep. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)
- Fee: The quay at Bobovišća na Moru is a class II county port: €4 a metre a day for a boat of 10.01 to 15 m, so €48 for a 12 m boat. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026) Unknown.[Tell us about the buoy price at Bobovišća](https://olasail.com/about/corrections/#fact=bobovisca.buoyPrice)
- Rules it out: The outer bay is open to the bura and to winds from south-west to north-west. The inner bay and the harbour are sheltered from every wind, but a south-westerly sends a strong surge right into the harbour. (Official source, 26 Sep 2026)

## The rules at every stop

What the law says anywhere on the coast. A buoy field's own rules come on top, as at Budikovac.

- Near a beach: No anchoring within 150 m of a natural beach, under the 2025 ordinance. (Official source, 25 Sep 2026) [Anchoring near beaches](https://olasail.com/moorings/anchoring-rules-and-fees/#beaches)
- Near swimmers: Under way, keep clear of an organised beach's rope line: at least 50 m in a boat under 15 m, 100 m in a boat of 15 to 30 m, and 300 m at 30 m and over (Article 49).
