Six sailing regions, from Istria to Dubrovnik

Where to sail in Croatia

Croatia’s Adriatic coast splits into six sailing regions. The Dalmatian coast includes North Dalmatia, Šibenik and Krka, Central Dalmatia and South Dalmatia. We cover Central Dalmatia, around Split, and in South Dalmatia the islands of Korčula, Lastovo and Mljet. Split's county recorded the most boats in transit in 2025.

The six sailing regions

From north to south. Our regions follow how sailors plan a week from one base, not county lines. Central Dalmatia has the most pages so far. In the south, Korčula, Lastovo and Mljet have theirs, and every place we list is on the full map. Not sure where to start? Choosing a base compares Split, Trogir, Šibenik, Zadar and Dubrovnik.
